    Description

    A vintage 10” tall black painted wooden industrial twisting bobbin or spool with brass fittings. Sides are 2-3/4” and 2-1/4” wide. No maker’s marks. Great patina on the wood and the metal. Most likely from early or mid 20th century.
    In good preowned condition. Some wear and chips in the paint and a few closed cracks in the wood. Shows clear signs of its former use, with thread lines fanning out from the brass in the end of the cylinder. The wood is sturdy on both the middle and the ends. The main issue is a vertical crack straight through the brass on the widest end, where the metal is a bit loose but still in place. The brass inside the end of the cylinder and on the narrow end are firmly in place.
