    Description

STRAND OF SELECT CONTEMPORARY ETCHED TERRACOTTA SPINDLE WHORL BEADS.
These interesting artifacts are hand made spindle whorls, such as have been used in Mali for centuries in the spinning of yarn. The exact age of these beads is not known, but they are probably
    much more contemporary
    , based on their appearance.
The strand is 29" long with 24" of beads for a total of
    30 beads.
They are made of clay (terracotta), run a little under 1" in diameter and length, have
    very nice etching,
    and are in
    very good condition
with minimal wear from age or use. Over the years whorls have been collected and strung for use as jewelry, as is being done today. These are
    "type photos"
not the actual beads you will receive. (I offer 1-day shipping as a matter of course, and often ship the same day payment is received. I figure once you've paid for something, you own it, and might as well have it as soon as possible.)
