    Description

African Gbaya Ceremonial Sickle Sword. This sword measures 24 1/4” in total length. The handle is wood with some minor splits and wear around the pommel. The tang extends out of the top of the handle and is bent over into a loop. The blade is straight and then it has a deep curve at the end plus there is a side extension to the blade. The blade has a tall median ridge running down the center of the blade and then in the curved blade section you have 3 distinct median ridges. At the blade section where the curved portion starts there are two forged dimples. The opposite side of the blade is flat with no median ridges at all. A very attractive sword.
