FROST PROTEK PLANT COVERS Extend your growing season with Frost Protek plant covers. Our covers are made of the same fabric that commercial growers use. Several of our covers are designed specifically for container gardening — container pots, grow boxes, tomato cages, hanging baskets, and more. We also offer large floating row covers for garden beds and larger plantings. These covers may be cut to size to fit your own garden bed. Use covers to ensure your tomatoes ripen on the vine or to enjoy your flowers longer when frosty mornings arrive. Use again in the spring to get your plants off to a strong start, just like a mini-greenhouse. They’re also a great organic solution to protect produce from pests like insects and birds. TALL PLANT COVER DETAILS The Tall Plant Cover is box-shaped, with a drawstring to secure the bottom around your citrus tree, container pot, grow box, staked tomatoes, or other planter. It will fit over a container that is approximately 67 inches wide and cover a plant that is approximately 6 feet tall. The circumference of the drawstring opening is 11 feet. The double-pull drawstring has convenient cord locks to keep the cover in place. Washable in cold water. Air dries quickly; do not put in dryer. Once annuals die due to a hard freeze or perennials lose their foliage and enter dormancy, remove your covers and store them away from the sun or other direct UV light to prolong the life of the fabric. Covers left on dormant plants in harsh climates are likely to puncture or shred. Fabric weight is 0.9 ounce and insulates plants from light frost and cool weather. This fabric weight will prevent damage with temperatures about 4°F to 6°F below freezing (to about 26°F or -3°C). The breathable fabric allows air and UV light to reach the plant and may be left on plants several days. Not intended for winter protection of perennials or shrubs. Sage green color.
